I was headed home from the project site Tuesday afternoon around 5:30 PM and I got a phone call from a friend telling me to get my butt back there because Gary Lavaway and Paul Cyr were flying overhead with their motorized paraglider.
SO COOL! Check out the photos they got with me sitting in front of the foundation.
Hey Mike, welcome to the neighborhood! I have said for years that your lot would be an awesome house lot and it's great to see that you are taking on the task of transforming it into your new home. I can't wait to see what your think outside the box ability creates. Having designed and built a couple of our homes ourselves I can tell you it will be a healthy mix of excitement, stress and joy that will yield a tremendous sense of accomplishment when completed. Again, welcome to State Street and best of luck!Paul, Jane, Justin and Jacob
Hey Paul and family! Can't wait to be joining the neighborhood and glad to have you following along. I am absolutely in love with the lot. The more time I'm up there the better it gets. Yesterday I enjoyed an evening picnic with some great friends amongst the raspberry bushes and panorama view of the farm/mountains. It was simply perfect! So far there have definitely been more ups then downs and only a smidge of stress. Hopefully this will be the theme of the project. Only thing I've been struggling with is the coordination of getting everyone up there at the same time and in a schedule such that they're not holding each other up. Definitely have a lot to learn, but at least I have a little experience from my old ski lift project-management days. Again, thanks for the encouragement and can't wait to have you inside for the housewarming!-Mike
