All the sheetrock is hung, the rough-in plumbing complete, and we’re nearing the last few days of drywall before we start brightening everything up with some colorful paint and laying the floors.
Dad has been trying to help out as much as he can with the paint and was priming the sunroom a shiny white. We’re all interested to check this space out on a bright sunny day to see how eye squinting it is. Hopefully it’s not too bright because mom seems to like her yellows an awful lot for paint.
Mike finished hanging this sheetrock earlier this week and is now getting everything ready for trim. He insulated around all the windows and doors with fiberglass insulation and a putty knife and got to work building the window jam extensions this afternoon. Andersen sure doesn’t make it easy. They build their windows with all these different grooves in and out to make it a real pain so that hopefully you’ll buy their way overpriced pre-manufactured ones, but not these guys! Mike fired up the tablesaw and after some careful measuring and 4 cuts was able to cut his own that were an exact fit. The trim is going to look so nice!
I think there’s going to be lots of dust and sanding up on the hill tomorrow so I’ll probably take a day to catch up, work on a few websites, and hopefully get my projector screen ordered. Too bad some manufacturer of a super awesome projection screen wouldn’t stumble onto my blog and offer me one :-). Okay… That’s it for me tonight!
